About Me

I’m a PhD Candidate writing about women in the military hailing from the South. In addition to my history degrees I have a M.A. in Southern Studies from the University of Mississippi where I helped develop a summer camp for high school students in the state to learn Civil Rights history and also to gain tools for grassroots activism at home. I believe in the historian’s duty to society, not just to the classroom, or rather, that the historian’s classroom is more than within their campus’s walls.
