- About Me
I am a writer, historian, editor and former journalist who has written extensively on women in Australian history and on media history. Several of my 13 books are biographies of women writers and journalists, others explore the role of letters and diaries in the lives of women. I have had innumerable articles published in historical, cultural and media journals; chapters published in edited books and many entries in biographical dictionaries. I edited the Canberra Historical Journal for 14 years and have edited several books.
I am an Honorary Fellow of the Australian Academy of Humanities;
a Fellow of the Federation of Australian Historical Societies
an Honorary Life Member of the Independent Scholars Association of Australia.
