About Me

Judith Jacob is a political and security risk analyst at an intelligence firm based in London. She completed her PhD in the Department of International History at the London School of Economics (LSE). Her doctoral thesis traced the ideological development of the Darul Islam movement from the inter-war period in Indonesia to its fragmentation resulting in the formation of the Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) in 1993.

Dr. Jacob leads terrorism threat analysis at Pool Re, a terrorism reinsurer in the UK. She previously worked as the Head of Global Threat Analysis at Protection Group International, a consultant for Jane’s and Interpol, and a global terrorism analyst at the Risk Advisory Group.
