About Me

I studied Latin American Studies in Cologne, Lisbon and Mexico-City. I hold a Phd in Anthropology of the Americas by the University of Bonn. From 2010 – 2013 I was the Managing Director of the Research Network for Latin America “Ethnicity, Citizenship, Belonging”. Since 2014 I am Senior Researcher at the Department for Iberian and Latin American History at the University of Cologne working on a post-doc project funded by the German Resarch Association (DFG). I am principal investigator at the “Global South Studies Center” and member of the executive board of the German Association of Research about Latin America (ADLAF) as well as of the Junior Faculty Club at the University of Cologne. I have two children.
