About Me

I am an American historian who studies nineteenth and twentieth century American political, social, and cultural history. For 13 years (2002-2015) I was an associate editor at the Eleanor Roosevelt Papers Project which is based at George Washington University. Currently I am consulting editor to the project. In addition to my publications, I also work as a public historian for an international tourism group. My passion is connecting people with history in a compelling manner via the web, the printed page or in person.
