A roving historian and intrepid eater, Alison Bing covers historic sites across the Mediterranean, Middle East and US for international media outlets. She researches and writes historical narratives for new media outlets including American History Tellers podcast, BBC Travel, Ubisoft Games, and Detour/Bose Augmented Reality, and brings transnational historical perspectives to the 52+ guidebooks she’s authored for Lonely Planet. She holds a master’s degree in international law and diplomacy from the Fletcher School, a joint program of Tufts and Harvard Universities, and a BA in art history from Bryn Mawr and Haverford Colleges.
