- About Me
I am a historian of the modern French empire, with a specific focus on North Africa and decolonization. My first book, Decolonizing Christianity: Religion and the End of Empire in France and Algeria (Cambridge University Press, 2016) explored the role of Christianity in the decolonization of Algeria, and the impact of decolonization on transformations in global Christianity in the 1960s. I’m completing a textbook titled Modern France and the World for Routledge that will cover France and its empire as well as France’s global interactions from the seventeenth century to the present.
