- Donna Francis is an archaeologist who researches Ancient Antioch’s early Christian churches and their art and architecture, and Antioch’s one Late Antique synagogue (the misnomered ‘Church at Machouka’). Donna also specialises in ritual theory of church burial space in the Late Antique period. Donna has a Bachelor of Archaeology with a major in classics, an honours degree in classics with a focus on early Christian art in Roman catacombs, and a graduate certificate in art history with a focus on religious art.
