- About Me
Michele Wells’ research centers on the history of legal, religious, and performance-based reconciliation practices. Michele’s research on 20th century reconciliation practices in South Africa, Brazil, and the United States, led to her current focus on the reconciliation practices of Medieval Europe. Michele is the founder of Theater for Humanity (2014 – present) and holds a Masters in Theater and Performance Studies from Stanford University (2021). In both her research and theater practice, she examines the intersection of theater and reconciliation across history with a focus on the lives of 15th Century dramatic and religious texts. In fall 2022, she will join the Department of History as a graduate student at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.
