I’m a Ph.D Candidate in the English department at the University of Pennsylvania. I study medieval literature and its relationship to medieval medicine. I am interested in preventative medicine and the type of medical thinking infusing everyday life. I am also researching the history of mental health and emotional hygiene in the later Middle Ages.
