About Me

Professor of Ancient History at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro State – Unirio, Brazil. B.A. (1998), M.A. (2003), Ph.D. (2008) in History at University of São Paulo. Fullbright Visiting Scholar at Florida State University (2017), Newton Fund Scholar at Newcastle University (2018-2020).

I work primarily with Ancient Historiography, mainly Latin, with an approach towards Theory of History. I also have a side project with Wikipedia in Education, since 2011. My current research is about intra and extra-textual authority in historical narratives.
