About Me

Andrea Madero Castro is a Mexican historian. She holds a BA and MA in History (UNAM) and is now in the second year of the PhD program in History in the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Her main research interests are Feminist Theory, Conceptual History, as well as a critical approach towards Historiography. At the moment she is writing her PhD dissertation on the history of Women’s/Gender Studies in the USA in the 1970s.

Currently, Andrea lives in Mexico City, and often travels to the United States to visit archives and collections valuable to Feminist History.
