- About Me
I am the Head of Special Collections Instruction and Curator of Literary and Popular Culture Collections at Brown University’s John Hay Library, where I oversee collections of American literature, poetry, music, and dance, as well as collections of LGBTQ+ artists, writers, and theorists. I also oversee the library’s thriving teaching program, which introduces students to primary sources as well as helps teach professors and graduate students how to incorporate special collections material in their courses.
Before coming to Brown in 2017, I was the Assistant Curator of Modern Books and Manuscripts and Curator of the Theodore Roosevelt Collection at Harvard’s Houghton Library.
- Recent Publications
My own research interests cover aspects of book history and material culture; my most recent book, Theodore Roosevelt: A Descriptive Bibliography (Oak Knoll, 2020) explores the many books that TR published in his lifetime.
In 2017, I co-authored Houghton Library at 75: A Celebration of its Collections (Harvard University Press) with John Overholt.
